This picture shows the Louvre, one of the most important musems in the world. The museum is located in the heart of Paris and is a must-see landmark for any tourist visiting the French capital. In the foreground, there are many people looking at the famous structure, taking photos of it, while some are just strolling by, probably going to see some other items of the museum. The background is occupied by the museum buildings themselves. On the right-hand side we can notice a waving French flag, placed on top of the building. The weather seems to be beautiful – there are no clouds in the sky, and, judging by what the people are wearing, it is probably fairly warm, too.

1. Why do people take photos of this structure?
2. Why are such places significant?
1. People take photos of this structure, because it is perhaps the most famous item of the entire museum. Once we hear of the Louvre, we instantly project the image of it in our mind. Moreover, it is an exceptional object to behold, and a superb one to take photos of, mainly because of its shape and materials that were used to create it
2. Such places are significant, since they are a living memory of the past, and they are truly one of a kind. Every country has its own significant landmarks, while the Louvre, and, more specifically, this structure, is, next to the Eiffel Tower, one of the most widely recognisable building in France. This is also why they attract a great number of tourists, who travel across the world in order to see such places, ones that have been known for ages and most likely will remain famous throughout the centuries.
